Haylow is a DJ, video producer, photographer, and an artist.  Though you might consider him better suited as a documentarian.  Through his previous works, as co-creator of the seminally popular public access TV show, Distortion 2 Static to his on-going Roy Ayers Project, Haylow has a great sense and reverence for the those that have come before him, and those that continue to inspire his own work.

An "old school" thinker, something that struck me about Haylow is how conscientious, yet unfiltered he appears to be about his output.  Thoughtful and always personal, you can tell how much his life and his experiences permeate into his art, and vice versa.  

A great artists knows when he's done, and Haylow is far from finished.
