 Today's guest is Chris Spangler!

Coach Spangler is entering his 20th season of coaching lacrosse where he has had the privilege of coaching youth, high school and collegiate teams throughout Colorado.  He has coached 13 collegiate All Americans, 4 high school All Americans and 27 All Conference high school players.

He has coached at such top collegiate programs as the University of Denver and the University of Colorado.  He has won a state championship as a player (East-Manual '90) and as a coach (Arapahoe '09) and was named RMILL Coach of the Year while at CU in 2000.  

He is currently an assistant coach at Highlands Ranch High School where he coaches with current Outlaw player and Highlands Ranch Head Coach Matt Bocklet.  

Coach Spangler has developed a number preseason and in-season conditioning programs that have helped his players play to the best of their abilities.  He encourages both general fitness and lacrosse specific training for all of his athletes at every level.

He is a CF-L1 Trainer and TRX certified trainer and has developed a number of speed and strength training programs for all levels of lacrosse players. 

Coach Spangler is the youth Director for DoCo Lacrosse and Langtry Lax Camps.  He is the owner of Vigor Performance and continues to coach camps and clinics throughout the year.

Coach Spangler graduated from Syracuse University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus in Neuroscience.  He is native to Colorado and raises his two children in Denver.

About Tim

  Tim’s professional career has been wide-ranging. He’s worked as a manual laborer, educator and coach from the junior high to collegiate level, professional fighter, published writer and poet, boxing and MMA trainer, and actor and stuntman. A finalist for UC Davis’ Winslow Award for Outstanding Graduating Senior, Tim holds a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis on social work. He has a certification from UC Davis in Drug and Alcohol Studies, served on the Davis City Council Substance Abuse Commission and speaks to at-risk youth on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club. Additionally, he has been certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

"The Jay-Z dissed lacrosse"

(AllHipHop News) Jay Z might have told an unnamed adversary (read: Drake) that he as playing the wrong sport on DJ Khaled's "They Don't Love You No More" but it may be Jay Z in the wrong arena. Today (April 29th), a spokesperson for Major League Lacrosse has issued a statement against Jay Z's dismissal of lacrosse on DJ Khaled's new single.

In the song "They Don't Love You No More", Jay Z states "boy, you soft as a lacrosse team." In a statement issued to MTV, Major League Lacrosse (MLL) reasons that lacrosse is in fact dangerous as "players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour." After stating that Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet", the statement reads that Jay Z may be misinformed entirely about the sport:

With that said we don't think Jay-Z knows what he's talking about when he calls Lacrosse 'soft' I can guarantee you it is anything but a 'soft' sport.

The statement then goes on to not only claim Jay Z "would not last one minute" in a lacrosse game but also intimated that they would be willing to test him:

Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try.

  Goldberg, who will serve as assistant coach of Israel at the 2014 Men’s World Championship, previously served 17 years as the head coach at St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida, winning 14 State Championships and earning a #1 ranking in the Southeast by both LaxPower and Inside Lacrosse. He is currently the co-director of Team Florida, the preeminent high school level travel lacrosse team, and the founder of Premier Player’s Lacrosse Academy, an educational institute serving student athletes and coaches. Goldberg has over 28 years of coaching experience in all, including internationally in Australia and Japan. He has amassed 391 career victories as a head coach, also previously serving at the collegiate level at Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy as a head coach and Michigan State University as an offensive coordinator. In Florida, he has graduated over 45 high school All-Americans and currently has more than 30 former students playing lacrosse at the collegiate level. The Levittown, New York native played collegiate lacrosse at North Carolina State University, before playing professionally for the Detroit Turbos and New York Saints, winning two championships.

Carlos took acting/commercial classes at age 21 and has been in the films, "Bullets blades and blood", "The law", "Barrio Brawler". and the TV shows, "I almost got away with it", "Worlds Most Astonishing News", and currently is a producer on the TV show, "Dateless" with pilot episode shot and in post production. Carlos is currently seeking investors for full season! The Premiere will be on April 26 at a place to be determined in Sacramento. Carlos is happily married with two kids Sara and Carlos jr.
