Two guests are featured in Episode 53, Northern Michigan University Assistant Coach Parker Betts and Pan-Am Championships gold medalist Jamel Johnson. Betts provides perspectives on several topics surrounding the NMU program, including the status of Benji Peak and the school's three recent U20 World Team members. Betts also opens up about an important upcoming trip to Sweden, as well as the value of being able to perform backflips (seriously). As for Marine Captain Johnson, another handful of subjects are brought to the table. Johnson shares his thoughts on the 2022 Worlds from last month, the potentiality of winding down his own career, the continued misunderstanding of Greco-Roman in the US, the need for more education on the part of officials, and much, much more. Surging Illinois heavyweight and former Division I lineman and NAIA runner-up Tanner Farmer helps usher in the new season of the podcast by sharing his thoughts on a variety of perspectives. With his first overseas tour now in the books, Farmer is poised for even more improvements entering his second year as a full-time Greco athlete and opens up regarding his approach to learning -- and the confidence he has in his overall physical strength. Says Farmer: "I'm one of the strongest heavyweights in the world."

Episode 50 has Hall commenting on the unusual training schedule for the Team USA Olympians. After that, US National Team member "Mr. Fantastic" Benji Peak drops by the program for the very first time. At the Olympic Trials, Peak caught fire and garnered nearly as much "mainstream" wrestling attention as the tournament winners, but he was already well-established prior to April. Now, the Wisconsin native is about to take a big step up as he prepares for his first World Championships in November. 5PM49: Robby Smith on coaching, fatherhood and mentors

Episode 48 brings a pair of familiar figures to the forefront: Austin Morrow (77 kg, NYAC/NTS) and USA Greco-Roman Manager of Operations Gary Mayabb. Morrow, one of the country's more popular athletes thanks in large part to his exceedingly friendly persona, is also in the midst of a career upswing following his move up in weight prior to the Olympic Trials. Throughout his segment, the NMU grad discusses the thought behind his climb in weight class relative to overall health and performance, as well as what it was like to be bullied by British kids during his youth. Mayabb needs no introduction. A coach who is respected and adored throughout the sport, Mayabb's passion for development and an uncanny knack for communication are well-known. But, there has been a lot going on recently, including Mayabb announcing that he will return to high school coaching next season. How this might affect his role with the National Program and what he sees as some of the biggest strides made over the past few years are all touched upon in this lengthy but engrossing conversation.

Dennis Hall sinks his teeth into the recent "Ranking Series" event for US Seniors and sheds some light on the upcoming mentoring program being implemented by the National program. Old pal and Oregon State assistant Nate Engel drops by for the first time in a while to discuss how his Beavers overcame several challenges this season to wind up with six NCAA Division I National Qualifiers, as well as how he navigates coaching different styles, and genders. Then it's two-time US National Team member Xavier Johnson of the Marines. One of the most dynamic and dedicated athletes in the country, Johnson shares how he blends fatherhood with his goal of becoming an Olympic Champion.

Junior World bronze, US National Team member, and now multi-time NCAA Division 1 Qualifier Taylor LaMont comes on to discuss folkstyle's place in American Greco-Roman development as well as how he has navigated training concerns so far this season. After LaMont, 2018 US Open runner-up Jessy Williams goes deep on a variety of topics, including the struggles he has faced over the past couple of seasons, as well as how he has had to piece together wrestling and his day job in order to prepare for competition.

Episode 43 features Millersville University head coach and former US Greco-Roman National Team member Kerry Regner in his first appearance on the program. Regner provides an overview of how he has stayed on top of his athletes despite their season being canceled while also sharing his perspective on why Greco-Roman, or any wrestling style, can succeed at enrollment-driven colleges. After that is out of the way, a special guest drops by to wish Regner a Merry Christmas in very unique fashion.

5PM43: Christmas Time with Millersville's Kerry Regner

In what has become an annual tradition, if by accident, the Five Point Move Podcast is here with the Thanksgiving 2020 Special. Hall assumes his duties as co-host to discuss the match between Ben Provisor and Fritz Schierl along with the various tie-ins all three have with one another. After that, some off-topic commentary on the general state of the country makes its way into the conversation before Hall closes it out with his view of UWW's Individual World Cup next month in Serbia.

5PM42: A Dennis Hall Thanksgiving

Episode 41 brings together a pair of Minnesota Storm teammates with whom everyone is familiar: two-time Senior National runner-up Calvin Germinaro and Alec "The Gunslinger" Ortiz. Germinaro just added a silver from the U23 Nationals to his collection while Ortiz's last time out was his third-place showing at the Senior event in October. Topics holding importance relative to both wrestlers' careers and impending training plans are discussed, as well as a few other items on the general Greco periphery. A fun, loose episode featuring a pair of highly-skilled athletes with unique personalities.

5PM41: Calvin Germinaro and Alec Ortiz of the Minnesota Storm

The 40th episode of the podcast sees Hall return from a brief hiatus to discuss why the US Nationals, despite talk of limited participation and general uncertainty, should be a tournament top athletes consider entering, as well as what his general approach might be as a competitor if faced with the same decision. Three-time U23 World Team member Jesse Porter then makes his first appearance on the program and shares a slew of inspirational insights related to his current training plan. After that, the one and only Sam Hazewinkel is welcomed back with open arms to break down the process behind our upcoming Greco-Roman rankings before delving into a few other peripheral topics affecting the sport.

Episode 39 presents two well-known athletes discussing a variety of recent, relevant topics. First up is Army National Team member Luke Sheridan, who details the challenges and frustrations military athletes are currently experiencing as they wait for clearance to return to action. After that, Greco "folk hero" Corey Hope goes nuclear on items ranging from age-group development and the differences between styles, to his disdain for coronavirus restrictions and the upcoming bowhunting season in Colorado. An eclectic, insightful episode full of perspectives you won't want to miss!

5PM39: Lucas Sheridan and Corey Hope

Episode 38 involves a number of topics that have been making the rounds recently, including how wrestling is covered in the United States, the interest in "hybrid matches", and the challenges surrounding a Senior World Championships in December. MWC founder and multi-time Cadet World Team coach Zac Dominguez then makes his first appearance on the program to discuss the measures he undertook when reopening his club earlier this summer, as well as the new USA GRIT initiative that specifically targets developmental coaches.

Episode 37 welcomes back "Wildman Sam" Sammy Jones, who in December appeared in his third straight US National final, making him one of the premier names at 60 kilograms leading up to the now-postponed Olympic Trials. Everything is on the table with Sammy, including interesting perspectives on how faith has shaped his competitive outlook, as well as what he is doing to stay ready for when wrestling gets back to "normal".

With Hall sitting on the sidelines for Episode 36, Joe Betterman hops aboard and digs into a few important topics -- such as the Olympic Trials postponement, if he is thinking about coming back, and why team duals would help get more eyeballs on Senior Greco. WBU head coach Todd Allen makes his first appearance on the show in the second segment to discuss Greco being cut from WBU, how he wound up falling in love with the style, and why the collegiate Greco model can work elsewhere. A very packed and informative episode!
