Heaven's Gate was an American UFO religious cult based near San Diego, California. It was founded in 1974 and led by Marshall Applewhite (1931–1997) and Bonnie Nettles (1927–1985). On March 26, 1997, deputies of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department discovered the bodies of 39 members of the group, including that of Applewhite, in a house in the San Diego suburb of Rancho Santa Fe. They had participated in a mass suicide, a coordinated series of ritual suicides, in order to reach what they believed was an extraterrestrial spacecraft following Comet Hale–Bopp

Time flies when you're stuck in the bunker recording non-stop every day for two years! Today the bunker folks go into a discussion about the history and their discovery of the American holiday "Juneteenth" which is recognized on June 19th. We here in the bunker acknowledge we have so much more to learn about the history of the liberation of the enslaved folk during 1865 (TWO YEARS AFTER THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION !!! WTF!). WE ALSO (paul also) goes on a rant about "influencers" and corporations with bigger platforms and a wider audience NOT using their awarded privileges to speak about important social issues like the BLM movement, Palestine, Yemen, the Energy Crisis, Prison abolition, and Police brutality and abolition.
