08. The Seeds of Life: An Interview with Ben Richards, Part 1

Part of being human is forgetting who we truly are and forgetting our divine purpose on this planet. This "forgetting" starts early and continues throughout adulthood until we are so far from our essential Truth that we have no clue how to navigate back to our center. If we're lucky, we are able to recall a semblance of who we once were before the layers and layers of story, expectation, and false narratives were laid upon us. If we're even more lucky, we begin to call forth the core of who we are and re-member the dismembered parts of our whole being. This can be a lifelong feat of back and forth motions between our masks and costumes and our pure self. In this talk I dig deep into this "forgetting" and how to come through on the other side, awakened and aware.[0:30] - Explaining what the mother of all cons is and how it affects us.[2:45] - The forgetting of who we are and why we are here.[4:30] - IMO everything comes from the single unknown source. Everything has a certain level of connection to that source, therefore everything has relevance.[6:00] - Windows into our essential selves and the proximity of it to our everyday selves and when that self comes out.[8:32] - The importance of "stories" to help us transcend and grow as humanity.[9:20] - We are up against so many opportunities to forget who we truly are. We are running the con upon ourselves. There is no one else who can awaken us out of the con.[15:00] - You have to realize you're asleep before you can awaken.[20:15] - How the con of forgetting gets started, continues and is made more complex as time goes on.[23:30] - Carefully using "story" as a tool to awaken.[27:10] - Why do we forget our truth or divinity? Why is the con part of our existence?[29:30] - The mechanisms that divide versus those that connect us an discerning between mechanisms that serve or ones that imprison us.[39:40] - Navigating through our self-imposed prison.[40:35] - Truth has no agenda. The process of awakening.[41:00] - Navigating through victim-hood.

07. Escaping Our Inner Prison to Return to Our True Selves

[4:30] How do you know when to listen to the voice in your head? How do you know it's not your ego? How does your voice affect you and your outcomes.[6:00] How do you know when you out of your own way?[7:30] Where does judgement come from?[10:50] How are you hearing the voice in your head and is the way you're hearing it aligned with your higher ideals?[15:15] Where the voice comes from and when to listen to it.[18:15] You're the only one who can create change in your life.[21:50] Using your inner voice to get through hardship.[22:50] How to regain control when others have negatively influenced the voice in your head.[26:10] Stop giving your power away.[26:50] Reprogramming the voice in your head.[28:00] Bringing it all together.

06. That Voice in Our Heads: Regaining Control

What motivates our desire to serve others? Does the measurement of the outcome of our service really matter in the grand scheme of things? Will we judge ourselves at the end of our lives for how much we did or did not contribute? How do our egos come into this equation of serving others and does this serve a purpose?

In this episode we dive into the mechanics of service. We talk about having clarity, consent, and clear communication when serving others and how this sets the foundation for both parties to benefit from the service provided. I talk about having a healthy dialog with yourself and being honest with any needs that might arise when giving service. The more you understand the reasons you serve, the clearer the energy with which you serve becomes.

05. Selfless Service and the Ego

The process of healing is delicately complex. One of the components of healing that goes unmentioned in the western world is that of "envisioning" one's healing. This goes beyond merely the power of positive thinking. This isn't about false belief. It's about calling in a possibility that lives in the myriad of potential outcomes; one of those outcomes is to be completely healed of your affliction. The more we can connect with this possibility, the more clear our vision becomes of us in a healed state. The more clarity we hold of us in a healed state, the more we call in the subtle energies that promote healing. The power of this vision can sometimes be the one tipping point, the one toggle switch to bring us back to stasis, back to our whole selves.

04. The Overlooked Key to Healing Ourselves

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to rocket through their goals and projects enabling them to manifest whatever they envision? While others can't seem to complete what they started due to quitting their projects as soon as they hit a speedbump or have to do something they don't want to do? Some of us only want to do the fun stuff and aren't willing to push through the boring and tedious parts of our passions and pursuits.

Does it take a "special" kind of person to accomplish what to many seems unreachable? Or is there a more fundamental approach which we might be overlooking that could enable us to do anything we set out to do? In this episode we take a closer look at a new way to see our projects…a way that can empower us to push through those difficult parts in order to reach the other side.

03: Completion: Why Some People Achieve It and Some Don't

Can harnessing a skillful command over our perceptions help us grow and become more advanced beings? There was a point where you were completely pure and empty…perceptionless. Your perceptions were taught to you, learned, and conditioned from your environmental influences. How do your early-formed perceptions affect your life today? Expanding our perceptive capacity is a means of personal growth and increases our awareness of our inner and outer environment. In this episode, we take a deep dive into the mechanics of perception and how to retrain and re-tune your perceptive capacities to serve your higher self.

02: Getting Free From Limiting Perceptions, Stories and Beliefs

We all have our gifts and something to offer the world, whether that be our skills, our wisdom, or our artistic expressions. Everyone's gift is relevant to the rest of the world and the more we express those gifts, the better the world becomes.

I didn't always know what I wanted to do in life or know what my life's purpose was. When I figured it out, I realized that it wasn't about "what" I did, but rather "how" I did what I did. Eventually my "purpose" became more about "being" and less about "doing". More about how I was showing up, and less about what I was showing up for.
