Epiphanized with Foolishness. We continue our Epiphany series, Epiphanized!, thinking about how we as God’s people are being looked upon as being more foolish every day. This is good because it’s a testimony that we represent the Light of Christ. We hold dear the message of the cross, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is life-giving and life-sustaining.  Pastor Greg Hafeman is our guest preacher for the day!

Darkness, Light, and the Kingdom. We continue our Epiphany series, Epiphanized!, continuing to talk about darkness and light. Today, we looked at these realities in the context of living in the Kingdom of God. Jesus had some things to say about Kingdom-living and they relate pretty directly to what we hear throughout God’s Word and some of the challenges we’re up against as Epiphanized children of God.

The Light Shining for All. Our Epiphany series, Epiphanized!, continues as we hear in all three of our Scripture readings this week of the truth of how the Light is truly shining brightly all around us. As Epiphanized people of God, we’re reminded again of just how that same Light is shining in us and through us.

 Epiphanized in Baptism. On Sunday we continued our Epiphany series, Epiphanized!, looking at what exactly that means. We did that in light of the account of Jesus’ baptism (Matthew 3) and in light of our own baptism. It all starts with Jesus (as everything does!!) and continues to flow in and through us. This message is a great encouragement and hope for these days in which we’re living.

Epiphanized to Arise and Shine! This week, we celebrated the Epiphany of our Lord, a celebration of light (The Light!) shining into our world and into our hearts. There’s some serious darkness that we’re contending with these days, so this Sunday’s time of worship, included the music, candles, God’s Word, and the sermon.  We need this more than ever! It was a powerful time together as we were reminded, equipped, and encouraged by our Savior, and the Light of the world.

Reset your new year in Prayer!  On this New Year's day, we focused our attention on prayer.  Pastor Robin Dugall, Immanuel's Discipleship Director, was our guest speaker teaching from Hebrews 4 on this vital subject.  We ended our time with a special prayer exercise.  Don't forget that your walk with Jesus deepens as you come to Him in prayer.  Reset your life IN Prayer and IN Jesus!
