From the very beginning God created man to dwell with him.  His work is to bring us back home to Him.  Moses sees the heavenly temple in the mount. God gives them a mobile, heavenly temple to carry around.  He does this by a symbolic Eden like structure in the form of a mobile tent, a mobile little piece of heaven, a mobile temple. This is not the relationship that God wants or that he will allow to last forever, but a type and shadow of the relationship that is coming.  Jesus fulfilled the purpose of the Temple by both laying down his life as our great High Priest and becoming the sacrifice Himself - the Lamb of God. Now we are called the temple. Living stones built up a spiritual house.  We are the Temple.  God wants to dwell in us such as the holy of holies.  As a body of believers.   A holy priesthood. 210 Temples p3 Jesus fulfilled the Temple : A new relationship -

Do you love people better today than you did 5 years ago?  If not it may be time to re-evaluate your belief system.   Is it correct?  If so are you holding to it tight enough?  Is it activated and being used to allow Christ's image to grow within you?  Truth, honesty, prejudice, seeking and searching are all important aspects tied into our beliefs.    The seeking and searching for truth may be more important than just understanding something correctly, depending on whether or not the pure love of Christ is present.   You can use truth to beat someone up with it.   If that is the case what good is that truth?  You may not belief absolutely correctly but are truly seeking Christ.   If this is the case you will find Him.   He will not give you a stone when you ask for bread.  He loves you.   What is your desire as you seek Him?   This may be more important than the final understanding. 206 Stewardship of our Beliefs

1 Nephi ch 3 continues.  Nephi's vision of God's great love and condescension to man.   The God of the universe and our creator took on flesh and blood and allowed us to kill him, hang him on a cross, so that He could bring us Home to Him.   The tree in the vision is the great love of God and a fruit that is sweeter, whiter, and desirous above anything else.  To taste that fruit is our great hope and commission. To have His love truly revealed to us through the Spirit will change us forever.  This is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.   A living breathing testimony of God's love for us. 199 How to discern truth - with special guests

Joseph Smith saw the Savior in the woods and was forgiven for his sins with an honest seeking heart.   Then the angel Moroni appeared, letting him know his work was going to begin and the awesome task that lied ahead.  He was to translate the golden record of the Nephites.  Revelations were given to him early on through the interpreters used to translate the record.  One of those told him he was to pretend to no other gift and no other gift would be given him.   They were also told to rely on the Book of Mormon  for the gospel, the church. and the rock.   Shortly after the task was complete things began to change.   Whether for good or bad it is worth a look.  This is just the beginning.
