Hey Gang,

We're back for a new episode & this is a very SPECIAL episode!!!! I have my first musical guest .... the one & only @obarowland. The #Chey5 for this episode was "Dead or Alive, if you could feature 5 artists on an upcoming project who would they be??

I got a chance to chop it up with Oba about his latest album "Northland" and breakdown the inspiration behind this 26 song project. Along with how he preps for his shows, when did he realize he had a gift for rap?? his first performance experience, what does he think the issue is with Detroit artists going further than they currently are?? etc.

However, most importantly i wanted to do a breakdown of some of the tracks off "Northland" and more specifically his track "Dreams." This song is an ode to a lot of beautiful ladies around the city of Detroit and Oba gives an in depth (no pun intended) description of what he would do if he had his chance with them. He even shouts out a familiar name that you all may know :) :) and I had to get to the bottom of things lol.

This episode I am joined by none other than Detroit's own Princess of Comedy Ms. Delo Brown.

I recently got a chance to attend her show titled "Who is Delo Brown??" and of course I had no choice but to dig a little deeper into that title and get to know her with some questions of my own. If you know Delo, then you know she has no problem speaking her mind & keeping it raw and authentic so naturally I had to put Delo in the hot seat & rerun the #Chey5 from episode 11 for her to answer.

Together we discussed our absolute worse date experiences & the types of guys to stay away from. However we also spoke on what grasps our attention.

Its been a while since we've heard anything from Auntie Monique, however having Delo in the studio naturally I had to get her input on the situation and how she feels about it being a black female comedian as well as the challenges she faces sometimes being the only woman in the lineup.

I was able to attend an event called "Let's Talk About Black Women and Mental Health" curated by Alandra Chuney, LMSW of "The Sister's Couch." I had been anticipating this SOLD OUT event since I first got wind of it simply because Mental Health ESPECIALLY within the black community is not something that I feel is not talked about enough. Previously on an episode I briefly spoke on my struggles with mental health and surprisingly i received a lot of messages from people opening up to me about their struggles as well as simply applauding me for acknowledging it. I took a lot of notes as there was TONS of useful information and insight provided that helped me in that moment & i know will do so going forward & I couldn't be selfish and not share :)I strongly encourage you all to follow @thesisters_couch on IG for more information regarding the beautiful ladies of the panel, upcoming events, helpful tips and more!!
